| Stackhouse Paces Senior Field Again in Second Event of Series |

Mill Hall, Pa- Mill Race’s Carl Stackhouse shot a one over par 74 here today at the Clinton Country Club to pace the 53 man field in the second tournament of the five-tournament NCPGA Summer Senior Tournament Series. The win was Stackhouse’s second in as many tries in the young season as he also captured the opening event last month at his home course at Mill Race. Toftrees Country Club’s Tom Daley finished second, two shots off Stackhouse’s pace and five players tied for third at 78. Those tied for third were Bucknell Golf Club’s
While Stackhouse also nailed down the age 50-59 age groups, Daley was kingpin in the 60-69 age groups. Bucknell’s Dick Beck’s 89 lead the 70-79 age group and Lost Creek’s Dick Roush was low among those over 80 with an 86.
Stackhouse also sits atop the cumulative season point total with 300 points for the two events. The top four point getters at the conclusion of the five tournament series in both the Senior Division (Age 50-64) and Super Senior Division (65 and over) will be invited to play in the season ending championship in September at the Susquehanna Valley Country Club. The NCPGA will post the total point standings on the NCPGA web site at www.ncpga.net.
Pro Shop merchandise prizes were awarded to both gross and net winners in each age group. The players enjoyed a meal at the conclusion of play prepared by Haywood’s of Clinton Country Club. The players found the Clinton Country Club to be in excellent condition.
The next tournament in the Summer Senior Series will be on June 24th at Tyoga Country Club in Wellsboro. The event time has been changed to a 1:00pm shotgun start.
